“A bit pricey, but a fun experience.”
My husband and I were staying at the Rihga Royal Osaka for a few nights during our honeymoon. We had a long day and decided to try one of the hotel restaurants for dinner. This place seemed pretty reasonably priced and we thought it sounded fun to try Teppanyaki style dining! We got the "weekday din...ner" special which included beef tartare, salad, steamed clams and bread, grilled wagyu and veggies, a choice of noodles or rice and miso, and a dessert. We were happy overall with our meal, everything was very delicious! We also had fun watching our chef cook right in front of us. One downside was that even though dinner was somewhat affordable (we paid $100 each for the weekday special), when we arrived all of the wines were $15 and up per glass. My husband and I got a half bottle which tacked almost $50 onto our bill, which was a bit crazy. We also got charged $25 for a service fee, which we're not sure what that was about. So yeah, the food was very good, our chef was very nice, but the total bill coming out to almost $300 dollars was a bit much for the overall experience. The wagyu was excellent though! One good idea might be to grab a cheap drink first, then have dinner only here, and another nice drink somewhere else. :)

“Teppanyaki Steak House”
My daughter loves steaks, and we have visited several teppanyaki steak houses in Osaka and Kobe. In Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka, we've dined out in other restaurants several times, but it was our first time here in Naniwa. Our lunch started by presenting my wife with a necklace as it was our wedding an...niversary. It was followed, for our surprise, by mushroom soup, which we found very delicious. We have never been served soup in teppanyaki steak houses. And then sea food, salad, meat, grilled vegetables, garlic rice, miso soup (soup again!), and dessert. By the time we left the restaurant, we were full with our hearts warmed up by the cook's heartwarming talks.

“Above average”
This teppanyaki place serves above average meat and seafood. The cook is also good and served out meat according to our preference.

“Mouth-watering Meat Barbecue”
My husband and I were booked at the Rihga Hotel and on our last night, decided to try Naniwa's meat barbecue (Korean style). It was an unforgettable dining experience. The meat melted in our mouths - not sure if it was Wagyu Beef or Kobe Beef. Suffice it to say, it was Grade A beef cooked to perf...ection. The service was impeccable. When the bill came, we thought it would cost us a fortune, but were pleasantly surprised to find it was quite reasonable. We will surely return to Osaka, if only to eat in this restaurant again.
