“Every course was brilliant and was a very fun environment”
Amazing meal and experience. We sat at the bar and the chef cooked all 10 courses in front of us well interacting with us. Food was fantastic would highly recommend. We discovered the restaurant before we went on holiday and got the hotel to reserve for us which I would recommend as not sure you cou...ld just walk in off the street.

“Exceptional Yakitori Experience”
What an amazing experience. Wonderful atmosphere and fun interaction with the chefs. You pick your wine / beer and then are served from a set menu - approx 12 little dishes. Each one beautifully prepared. Amazing flavours. Lovely sweet / sour / salty / citrus interactions. We went for the wine ta...sting as an accompaniment which was four different wines and each well paired for the courses as they came out. There is an a la carte menu too should you want more but we were quite full! They speak English which made for great banter and we learnt a bit about what we were eating too. It really felt like an amazing private dining experience even though there were several other couples present.

“What an absolute gem of a restaurant”
We arrived without a reservation, which was a mistake, after a recommendation by the hotel we’re staying in. They could not have been more accommodating, sitting in front of what can only be described as artists. The food was outstanding, even things not normally to my taste (mushrooms) were sublim...e. Paired with wines recommended by the owner the courses were all different and all great, a real smorgasbord of flavour! Zenbu oishi! In fact it was so good my wife is leaving a review too because of the lack of recent updates. If we’re back in Osaka we’ll be, reserving this time, back to Taimatsu!

“Truly exceptional yakitori experience”
We had the fortunate opportunity to discover this restaurant in Osaka while seeking yakitori. The atmosphere felt relaxed with good music and friendly service. We found ourselves wondering if the restaurant had a Michelin star because each dish (from the lightly seared chicken over charcoal to the t...ruffle zosui) was so perfectly prepared, flavorful and well presented. The staff was able to customize the ~11 course menu based upon your dietary preferences and spoke English well. We highly recommend it and would return again.
