“A Chinese restaurant where the Chinese go to”
Place was packed on a Saturday night. The majority of the clientele were Chinese. While the wait staff all spoke Japanese and basic English, if you spoke Chinese, things go a lot smoother. This place showcases Sichuan Chinese. Everything was spicy delicious. This place did not adjust their recip...e to appease the Japanese but kept things the way it should be. Nice and spicy. It was funny when friends ordered the least spicy Mabudofu and then fretted that it was way to spicy. It had flavor, depth and a bit of a bite and it was the closest taste profile I remember eating while we were visiting Sichuan area of China. We ordered a variety of classic dishes, 1,000 year egg, dongua soup, cashew chicken, kong xin cai (water spinach) and there was nothing that we were disappointed with. This place has an upscale feel to it. The prices are not cheap but reasonable considering what you get. Don't expect a Chinese dive but a decent mid range clean restaurant catering to all but especially Chinese.

“Good and spicy”
My friend was hungry so we chose the closest sit down restaurant outside the subway. A bit of a surprise... and turns out a pleasant one. Little English spoken, but the staff was patient and wanted to make sure we knew the dishes are spicy. (Once we understood they were using "hot" for intensity not... temperature all was fine.) We routinely eat spicy food so we were not concerned. The menu does have photos as well as chili ratings to guide you. I was not very hungry so was happy to see most dishes also come in half sizes. I did miss the standard white rice bowl. The dining room seats about 25 and is comfortable and nicely decorated. Soft music was playing in the background on our Saturday night visit. If you like this style of food it is certainly worth a try.
