“Off-putting pungent smell and unacceptable hard-boiled egg”
Having had this amazing ramen in Hakata, I was super disappointed with this branch. They either need to step up maintaining their hygiene in the kitchen, throw away their expired food or give those wash cloths a thorough cleanse (perhaps replacing them would be better). The shop reeked of a sour sme...ll which I cannot pin-point and unfortunately stayed with me for a good 5 minutes until I was able rush out for a breath of fresh air outside the building. What was supposed to be a half-cooked egg with a runny yolk turned out to be a hard-boiled egg which is definitely unacceptable in any standard. No chance for photos as the smell was getting to me real bad.

“OVERRATED! The WORST ramen I ever had in my life!”
Came here after reading many good reviews. It turned out to be the worst ramen I ever had. To begin with, the ramen is more expensive than other places in general(above 1000 yen for ramen only), as it’s in the Kyoto station building, above isetan. However, the price didn’t not reflect the quality o...f the ramen! The noodles were soggy, the chashu slices were bland and had a strong unpleasant pork smell. The broth was bad too, too salty. It’s a tonkotsu ramen and I suppose broth should have the natural sweetness taste after hours of boiling with pork bone. But the broth just taste so artificial and very very very salty. I have tried ramen at other places in Kyoto and Tokyo, this is by far the worst ramen. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here for ramen. There are better place for ramen in Kyoto.

“Great Hakata Ramen”
We stopped by here at the Kyoto branch which at the tenth floor of the Kyoto JR station. Self service for ordering and pre-payment at the kiosk, and then the ramen is served quite quickly. The stock is think and ramen is thinner than traditional ramen. They have two branches in Singapore, at Changi ...T3 and Tanjong Pagar.

“Delicious... and hands down, BEST chicken karaage ever =]”
After walking around Ramen Street for a bit, the group decided on this place, and man, I had no idea it could be sooo good. I am planning another trip just to eat here again. The broth was just so thick and flavorful. Everything in the bowl was amazing. Even the ramen noodles, while thin (I pref...er thick), were still really tasty. The highlight of the place for me was the chicken karaage. Holy crap, I thought I already knew what the best karaage tasted like... this place now holds the title of best karaage.
