“Five star cost for two star experience.”
Very bad experience, smoke of the barbecue everywhere in the house, and it almost choked people to death. Very expensive and spent a lot of money without eating anything,$120 for 2 people, awful. It's not even worth $40 in Beijing,China

“Too expensive.”
Local restaurant with basic service. Price are quite expensive. Price are shown ex Vat and service ( 200¥ / pers). Food is OK. Cool stuff : you can order with an Ipad which is quite useful.

“Yummy Food, Good Atmosphere”
My partner and I were staying in the area and took a 5 minute walk from our accommodation (She Hotel) to this Izakaya (our first ever!) based on the positive reviews. What a lovely experience; the setting was warm, rustic and friendly. There was an English menu to point at when we ordered and each d...ish that came out was very tasty. It was quiet on a Monday night which added to the intimate atmosphere. We were both quite full, having ordered about 15 different dishes between us (a variety of meat, tofu, vegetable dishes), and the bill came to just under 5000 yen. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I was nearby, it would definitely be a satisfying meal.

“Home-cooked delicious food in the suburb”
Recommended: baked eggplant slices with tomato and cheese, chicken meatball skewers. Restaurant where locals eat at. English menu available! (thank goodness for people like me who don't understand Japanese)

“Authentic Japanese Izakaya Experience ”
Stumbled on this little gem just outside our stay at the Sakura Terrace. A perfect fusion of grissly bits for my husband and delicious vegetarian pub options for me! Everything was scrumptious! I highly recommend the warm sake during these winter months. Yebisu Black is the best beer. Friendly staff... that kept the food and drinks coming all night. A great step into the whole Kyoto experience! One of our favorite restaurants in Kyoto. A must experience for travelers, meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
