Always great. Consistently good for a fast food fix. Good location and atmosphere and service and very reasonable value for the money

“Loving Shack Shack burgers!”

Was wandering around and playing with the idea of eating at the nearby Nishiki Market but chanced upon this fabulous burger. Tried a few Shacks and always very impressed by the consistency. The service crew, Shijo karasuma, was very friendly and professional and introduced to me their Kyoto-only ite...ms and even chatted a bit in English. Very impressed by service and food alike. Amazing!

“Really good burgers and shakes”

Burger was really tasty with a seared flavour. Standard burgers are 2oz patties so double up if you're hungry. Fries were good as well - we had normal plus now and cheese, both good. Drinks were excellent - had a really good strawberry shake and a root beer float.

“First Time”

My son took our family out to dinner on our first night in Kyoto. Since he likes seafood, I thought he was going to treat us to seafood or sushi. Instead, we ended up at the Shake Shack near Nishiki Market. I have not eaten at Shake Shack since there is no outlet in Hawaii, but my son tried it on ...his trip to Chicago a few years ago. We all had the basic hamburger, which I thought was pretty good. We all had fries, which tasted like the frozen crinkle cut fries that I buy from the market. It appears that they do use the frozen fries, so I have eaten these before. I topped my dinner off with a chocolate shake, and that was a knockout. The shake was thicker than most shakes and almost as thick as a malt. It did not melt while I ate my dinner and I had to try and suck it out through the straw throughout the dinner. I am not sure if my shake had extra malt powder or concrete mix, but it was sure good. I went to sleep that night with a full stomach and an empty brain

“On point”

On point. The consistency of Shake Shack is something you can count on. The burger was great and just like what you get in the States. Not much of a menu variation other than the shakes and desserts. A nice change of pace from Japanese food if you're having a long stay in Japan.
