“Highly recommend for lunch and dinner!”
We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate both lunch and dinner there one day! This was a highlight of our Osaka visit. We enjoyed the prix fixe lunch and dinner menu- the courses were unique and delicious and beautifully presented. The Kobe+ wagyu set menu was excellent and very reasonably pr...iced. The owner is so creative and welcoming. Thank you for taking such good care of our family and we hope to return one day! Greetings from Seattle, Washington, USA.

“Great Food!!”
We ordered 2 sets of the Kobe beef course at Y6,800 each and were very happy with the way the meal turned out. Itahashi-san, the owner-cum-chef, is a softspoken and humble man, and I am sure he will scale greater heights. He made simple ingredients come together beautifully, and that is what makes a... great chef. The various courses were also all beautifully plated. Kobe beef is very expensive and out of reach for many, but Itahashi-san uses the rump part in order to make it much more affordable for his customers. Hence, do not expect the beef served here to melt in the mouth as the fattier parts of Kobe and other A5 beef would. My one very minor gripe is that the service staff could have been trained better - it would be good if customers had fresh utensils to use after each course, and also, it is less polite to serve food across the table. In summary, Cafe Mode serves excellent fine dining level food at cafe prices and with cafe service.

We got treated like queens and kings here. Owner/manager is very nice and kind. We had a baby with us and he kept asking us if the child had allergies to any kind of ingredients as he prepared the meals fresh. We would be back. Worth the 10min walk outside the dottonbori street

Great atmosphere! So spacious and staff were so attentive in comparison to Dotonbori street restaurants. These guys are under rated and awesome value for the 5000 yen wafts/kobe beef set menu. We came as a group of 4 and everything was made fresh and presented well. If you are reading this. I high...ly recommend the visit. Especially if you wish to taste wagyu/kobe meat without feeling the inflated prices. I’m not one to take photos of food but this place is awesome. Dessert was also included! We will be back!
