Rubom Buiburu Za Roiyarupakuhoteru Kyotoshijo

This restaurant was near our hotel so we ate their one night rather than look around as we were very tired from a long day trip. French food but with a japanese influence. Did not expect that much but we enjoyed it so much we went back the following night. The staff were lovely and the food was exce...llent and good value. Worth a visit.

We went for the afternoon offer, which is a „pyramid“ of small appetizer…sweet and salty. Ok, as we are from Europe, I guess this pseudo French style was simply not catching us and the food as well not. We only ate half of the options (but tried all), simply did not like them. The menu is quite exp...ensive with 4300¥, or the other way round: for this price you have expectations. Those were not met. The sparkling wine was not very much sparkling anymore, so not sure how long the bottle was open. I mean this whole French thing sells in Japan, but if you know the original taste, this is so far off and not worth a visit.

Le bon vivre est tres bon! This is an excellent French restaurant! We had a wonderful multi-course meal for a reasonable price complete with delicious cheeses and great wine, cassoulet and beef bourguignon. Delicious!

Very nice restaurant! We especially liked the bread. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here, we liked the breakfast best. It is a French restaurant, which is quite different from regular Japanese food. The portions at lunch and dinner are small, especially the mail course. If that had been bigger... it would be 5 stars.

I had Steak Hache with fries, homemade tomato sauce, and mustard. Partner had Scallops with flat fish, croq uettes, butter sause. All cooked to perfection. Proper french bread with top quality olive oil. Had an excellent red merlot and a white saivignon Tourain.
