“Le bon vivre est tres bon!”
Le bon vivre est tres bon! This is an excellent French restaurant! We had a wonderful multi-course meal for a reasonable price complete with delicious cheeses and great wine, cassoulet and beef bourguignon. Delicious!

“Nice French restaurant with wonderful bread. ”
Very nice restaurant! We especially liked the bread. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here, we liked the breakfast best. It is a French restaurant, which is quite different from regular Japanese food. The portions at lunch and dinner are small, especially the mail course. If that had been bigger... it would be 5 stars.

“Top class French Bistro”
I had Steak Hache with fries, homemade tomato sauce, and mustard. Partner had Scallops with flat fish, croq uettes, butter sause. All cooked to perfection. Proper french bread with top quality olive oil. Had an excellent red merlot and a white saivignon Tourain.

“Popular dining spot”
Clearly liked by both locals and visitors alike this is a busy little restaurant. Offering European fare with a touch of local input it provides a good quality meal, menus in English which can be a help?

“Excellent French Bistro in Kyoto!”
Le Bon Vivre's award-winning French bread cannot be beat. Breakfast had a selection of pastries and preserves and main dishes lie French Toast with sausage. For a snack, their cheese selections are wonderful, if a bit on the small side, and their wines were terrific. True French cuisine made impecca...bly.
