“Shabu Shabu, Teppanyaki and Traditional decor. Wonderful lunch!”
My wife and I asked our tour guide if we could eat someplace traditional and she suggested this place, and we are so glad she did! I got the teppanyaki and my wife got the shabu shabu and both of us were thrilled with the meal. The price was appropriate and the food was outstanding. We also enjoy...ed the traditional decor of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

“Very Traditional Japanese”
Rule of thumb if there’s a line, it must be good. We came across this restaurant located on the main street of Hanamikoji Dori” and figured let’s try to get in. Signed up on the board and waited. Only took 45 to 50 of minutes to be seated and it was well worth it. It was our first time having what i...s called a set meal in Japan. The service was good, and the food was even better. Found out from our tour guide later that night that this was the most famous restaurant in the Goin District. That it’s very hard to get into as she has never been. She was amazed that we got in cause it’s almost impossible to get in for dinner as it is booked well in advance. So glad we had lunch here it was well worth it.

“No value for money ”
Prices, especially for dinner are absurdly high. Appetizers are tasteless and of low quality. The Shabu Shabu menu is mediocre. Actually one has to pay more than €150 per person for a disputable Japanese ambience. Clearly a disappointment.

“Traditional yummy Japanese sukiyaki & hot pot”
A traditional sukiyaki restaurant located in Gino. Came here right before 11:30 am opening because we don’t have a reservation. It’s a traditional Japanese architecture with private dining room. The decoration of the dinning is nice and make you feel comfortable. In additional to sukiyaki, we a...lso ordered a hot pot. The Sukiyaki is delicious with all fresh ingredients (beef & vegetables) and the hot pot is even better because the hot pot broth really brings out the natural sweetness and taste of the chicken ingredients. We strongly recommend any Gino visitors to come here to try this very Japanese cuisine.

“Lunch set is a great value ”
Their lunch set is around ¥2,300 and has a variety of dishes to try, making it a great value. The set comes with rice, tamagoyaki, a fried tofu ball, tempura, tsukemono, and miso soup. All were incredibly fresh and tasty. They give you two large rolls of the tamagoyaki alone!! The restaurant itself ...is in what once was a house. It still has the shojin doors, tatami mats, shelves, decor, etc as well as some steep stairs so be aware of that. Also, it is cash only. However, I would definitely come back here again!!
