Okuden

Okuden serves the best Okonomiyaki I have eaten in Japan, despite having lived in Osaka for half a year. Very cozy location with a great atmosphere, especially when sitting at the counter seats and watching the chef expertly preparing your food. Most of the dishes make for a perfect hearty meal aft...er walking through all the gates at Fushimi Inari, and the restaurant has a large selection of drinks to go with them, including locally brewed sake. Definitely try the Okuden special while you are here, and ask for the extra spicy sauce if you think you can handle it.

Excellent service. Amazing Okonomiyaki. The staff's English will help travellers. Cosy location and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Come here for dinner. The Gimji menu was the best!!! Yakisoba not very salty. Egg special menu was also awesome!! They also have "very dangerous hot sauce" for okonomiyaki. Unique place for family and friends group. 3 tables with 4 people each and counter top can accommodate 6 people. English menu... available. Draught beer are perfect with their food.

Phenomenal restaurant. Great location right next to the Fushimi-Inari Station and Shrine. The food and service is excellent. Very friendly and even better an english menu with pictures. The only downside is that it is small with 3 three tables that seat 4 each and a bar that seats 6. The quality eas...ily outmatches the size though.

We saw the Monster Curry sauce sign when passing this restaurant after visiting the Inari Shrine. Fascinated, we decided to give it a try and it was one of the best choices we made. There were only 3 tables at the restaurant and we took up the 2 remaining unoccupied tables. The lady serving us ...was so nice and did not seem overwhelm by our repeated requests. The food was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I would love to eat at this place again if ever I come back to Kyoto.
