YOSHINOYA Kyotohachijoguchi

I go for a Yoshinoya nearly daily (tired of McDonalds in UK) and this one was the most filthiest and much much slower than the others in terms of service. The amount of meat is much less than the others and it seems that the staff are clueless of what you ordered. The staff members are doing their... job and are respectful so no issues with them. Took me 10 mins just to get a refill of rice when normally it takes 1/2 minutes. I did eat the rice quickly cause I was really hungry. The rest of my food was cold by the time I got the refill which is disappointing. If I knew it would take 15 minutes then I would of eaten the rest of my food to make sure it wouldn't be so cold 😅 Maybe the closer to a busy city the worse it gets?

Strangely, we could not find many sit down options for breakfast in Kyoto station at 730am. This is a good alternative for those who dont mind eating beef bowl rice for breakfast. They do serve eggs with ham though it comes with rice! Affordable breakfast!

3 mins walk Aeon Kyoto. Great food and good value for money. It operates more like a fast food restaurant.

Had gyudon with green onions and a raw egg, top up with salad and miso soup. Tasty gyudon. Noticed this was not a restaurant for customers to eat and chat. Most left immediately after eating their meal quietly. Order first, pay before leaving. Conveniently just outside Kyoto station.

We were on way to the train station back to Tokyo and needed a quick lunch. Somebody said we haven't tried Yoshinaya in Japan and all 7 of us agreed it was a good choice. The beef bowls were really good and filling. I ordered the unagi and was pleasantly surprised. With the help of the waiters, we m...ade our train with time to spare.
