“Delicious sushi!”
We were craving some nice sushi, and ended up coming to this restaurant around the Daimaru shopping area. We were keen to experience watching our sushi chef making our sushi fresh in front of us, and were glad to be seated at the bar. We selected a variety of different sushi, which tasted delicious ...and super fresh, and was nice seeing all the chefs preparing them and making it look super easy! The staff were very friendly and attentive during our time at the restaurant

“Excellent Sushi restaurant in central Kyoto”
Located in main shopping area in central Kyoto by Daimaru department store. Sit up counter seats around 12 with other tables to the side. Superb selection of sushi. Tried 12 different fish..all delicious and perfectly presented. Reception and serving ladies very friendly, Sushi chef very professiona...l. Really high quality sushi. Worth a visit if in central Kyoto.

“Fantastic sushi / sashimi”
We were walking around Kyoto and googled a sushi place near us that had good reviews. I'm SO HAPPY we found this place -- it was delicious. They were even able to accommodate my gluten allergy (I have celiac disease). In fact, it was so good, we came back a second time for lunch. Definitely try thei...r salmon sashimi. For gluten free eaters: Bring a "gluten free" card with you. They also spoke English, which made it easier and were very careful. Also bring your own Tamari. Highly recommend, and would come back on our next trip to Kyoto.

“Average sushi restaurant”
After a first diner at Kaiten Sushi Chorijo (wich was very good), we wanted to try another sushi restaurant. We tried this one. The food was OK, but clearly not as good as at Kaiten Sushi Chorijo, more expensive and not as fun as the other one with the carrousel. The staff and service were barely ok... but not as friendly and customer-oriented as the other one. If I had to chose again between both, I would definitely choose Kaiten Sushi.

“Great sushi ”
A bit difficult to find - use the photo of the entrance here on TripAdvisor to make sure you find the right place (there are several sushi places nearby). Salmon sashimi was really good. They will assume that you want wasabi put in the nigiri, so remember to say it if you don’t!
