SHINKIRAKUHIRUTOMPURAZAIHSUTO

I had Shinkiraku Set Meal (This set meal contains tempura and duck hot pot (small), rice, small bowl, and pickles) and one beer for a total of 2 300 Yens (tax included). It was good, the duck soup was nice. It was well enough to fill you up. English menu is only 4 pictures of 4 set meal, a la carte ...is not translated. The restaurant is located underground so it's a bit gloomy, but the service was nice and quick, last order at 9pm. They accept commun credit cards.

the tempura batter was heavy and the tempura were greasy and oil tasted old. In spite of being recommended in Lonely Planet, eat your tempura elsewhere!

No English menu available, waitresses have some English though so you can get by with asking for things like "Ebi" (¥1000 for 2, plus heads), "vegetable mix" (¥600 for 8 items) and everything comes as it should. Some of the best prawns I've had; still really moist in the middle with crispy batter. G...reat to sit at the counter and watch the preparation. Basement 2 of Hilton Plaza East, turn right from the escalator and it's on your left.

Despite lonely planet recommendation and good grades on tripadvisor, this restaurant is a poor-quality fast food restaurant. It was our most disappointing experience in 10 days.

The restaurant has no english menus, so the closest thing to one (from a tourist's point of view) is the picture menu which features tempura sets. Although we manage to order some dishes that other customers were eating, the overall quality and standard of the food here was very good. From the crunc...hy and delicious tempura sets to Sashimi and karaage dishes, whatever that was served to me and my family was delicious. Restaurants like this makes me want to improve my Japanese so that I can order other dishes which I am sure are just as tasty.
