“Popular Spanish restaurant near Osaka Station”
We’d first visited La Bodega on a Saturday evening without reservation but it was full. We then managed to reserve a table for the following Monday. This popular Spanish restaurant on the 7th floor of a shopping centre is lively and well patronised by locals. We’d ordered a Gambas (prawns in oliv...e oil) and a seafood paella. The rice is a little moist and the seafood had a little taste of the ocean which blended well. Overall we had a enjoyable dinner at La Bodega.

“Absolutely horrible non Spanish food”
I never ever have given a Japanese restaurant a 1 and I have travelled multiple times to Japan and eaten in dozens of restaurants. But this place deserves it. Had the iberico pork, which was neither iberico nor Spanish tasting. Since my ex wife is Spanish I do know my way around Spanish food and the... only people who will think this is Spanish tasting food never had any. Service was terrible. The girl behind the bar was rude and probably forgot that some westerners do speak some of the more obvious words of Japanese. The portion was very small, 2 pieces of meat, 3 small bits of potatoes, 8 peas and half an onion which was clearly not to be eaten. Meat didn't have any flavour nor did the olives they dropped in front of me. To top it all of the charged me extra for something that translates to cheer service, I have no clue what that is and I did not ask for it. Clearly a restaurant aimed at one timers. Stay away at all costs, there are a gazillion good restaurants in Japan so you can do without this one

“nice respite from japanese cuisine”
spent about 6 days with my wife in and around osaka and we basically ate japanese most of the time. after a while, we decided that we needed a break and try something else. after a whole day of walkimg and shopping in the osaka station center, we ended up in grand front on the 7th flr in la bodega. ...the ambience was just rigt for a romantic dinner but enough volume for a hungry man. we had the arroz negra and some chicken for dinner and it was great. maybe i was just hungry or maybe it was really that good. in any case, i recommend this for those looking for something outside of the japanese selection.

“Make sure you book....it is a great dining experience”
we had difficulty finding a restuarant that would take a booking for six people but La Bodega fitted us in. There was a queue waiting each time we walked by as we were checking out the South gate restuarants. We know why!!! We enjoyed good service and great Spanish influenced food.the paella was ama...zing. But everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly recommended.
