“Quitely Impressed”
Despite being just a 3 option fixed menu, the food was very good. Very tasteful well prepared and not stupid size portions too. They also did not object to me bringing my own Gluten Free bread as they didn't have any of their own. We opted for the 90mins all you can drink of the champagne and whit...e/red wines...was a good choice in the end. The wine was very nice and matched the food well. The clear see-through plastic chairs though...hmmm..someone was given wrong advice - let's the decor down badly - but luckily we sat by the window in proper wooden chairs. The waiter was good and attentive...but not intrusive. They made a very yummy gluten free chocolate mouse dessert for me too, as it was my birthday!

“Lunch with family”
I have been to Igrek a number of times and on each occasion the food and service has been outstanding. We had our son's wedding reception at Igrek and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any one. The staff are highly trained professionals.

“Extremely pretentious got it wrong!!”
Sorry but I think the previous reviewer really must be talking about a very different restaurant! As a Kobe resident I've been to igrek Vega numerous times with numerous friends and never had anything but an excellent, good value experience.

“Extremely pretentious!”
We visited this restaurant with six of us at about 1:00 PM for lunch. One of our expat friends heard of this place and wanted to take us there. We had no reservation but we went because we heard that they have lunch pasta specials for about $10. The restaurant is situated on a second floor of an off...ice building up a narrow stairway but upon reaching the entrance we were greeted by a very pretentious Maitre D' who was dressed in tuxedo and bow tie. He looked at us and I imagine he thought we were not properly dressed for "lunch" at this high class restaurant. He told us we could only be there for one hour for this lunch special and that we have to out by 2:00 PM. At that time the restaurant was only half full, being that most of the lunch patrons have left. We did not think much about this and went ahead and ordered the specials. The bread was great with good variety. The pasta specials were small in portion but good tasting, but nothing extraordinary. We had some drinks and we were having a good conversation when the same Maitre D' came to our table at exactly 2:00 PM with a bill and told us to leave because it is now one hour. What! I could not believe it. The restaurant was virtually empty. So I wondered if they were closing? No, there were other patrons and the place is opened til 10:00 PM. I wanted to complain but my friend told me to shut up and leave. So we paid and left. The place was not cheap. With drinks etc, it cost over US$100. We have traveled to 30+ countries, Japan over 20 times, and we have never been treated this way ever in any restaurant in our life. My friend was fluent in Japanese and he confirmed everything we experienced. This restaurant thinks they are so great that they cannot be bothered with "cheap" American visitors. Avoid this place.
