Tonshabu Hide Hanare

Our family had a wonderful dining experience at Tonshabu Hide Kyoto Hanare and thoroughly enjoyed their popular pork shabu-shabu featuring Kyoto Pork. The pork was exceptionally fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The hotpot also includes chicken and seasonal Kyoto vegetables, all cooked in a ric...h homemade soup supervised by a former sumo wrestler. As the meal progresses, the dashi becomes deeper and more aromatic, making every sip incredibly satisfying. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy the pork with three different dipping options: a special ponzu sauce, Andes salt, and a rich sesame sauce. Changing the flavors throughout the meal made the experience even more enjoyable. The course ends beautifully with a refreshing sweet-and-sour ponzu sherbet, which cleanses the palate perfectly. The restaurant is very family-friendly—children and strollers are welcome—and the staff are extremely friendly, polite, and attentive. English menus are available, and ordering is simple and convenient using a QR code. A fantastic choice for families and visitors looking to experience high-quality Kyoto pork in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.
