A wide range of Japanese foods that were all superb! We loved this place, friendly happy staff, great food and able to decipher our English and hopeless attempts at speaking Japanese! Great little spot close to our hotel. Not quite sure what to expect as Japanese eating is still pretty much of an experiment for me. Ordered some simple things I was familiar with, kerage, tempura shrimp, potato salad, all really good, but the real winner was the daily special, gratin chili tofu. W...ow! This dish could make me swear off meat…forever! I had a second order, went home feeling full and planning a second evening here. They have an English menu that’s best described as “good “enough” Food is great, portions good, prices reasonable. Try this place! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

There is a long line but it's worth the wait! The staff are really friendly. Service is fast! The food is excellent! One of our favorite reataurants in Kyoto! The food is very authentic! Would highly recommend this restaurant and would definately go back!
