“Jewel of a restaurant in the Hotel Okura Kobe”
Elegant, well paced meal with an exceptional chef. Kobe beef is everything they say it is, especially prepared in front of us and highlighted throughout the meal. Small restaurant, limited seating and very personalized service. What a treat!

“Excellent Kobe Beef Teppanyaki”
There is nothing much I can say except that this was one of the best dining experiences we had in a two-week trip to Japan.

“The beef is delicious, but”
The Kobe beef is delicious. The fried garlic chips are very good. The teppan chef at our station was both gracious and skillful. Everything we had besides the beef and garlic chips ranged from mediocre (the sake selection; the seafood) to frankly bad (there was a disastrous complimentary appetize...r built around thickly-sliced cold corned beef with vegetable aspic and a canapé on stale bread). So the question is just how much money to pay for delicious teppan-grilled beef and just how annoyed you will get at those prices that the rest of the meal is not very good.

“A little Kobe....”
Our last night in Japan my daughter and I went to this restaurant. We shared 100 grms. of Kobe. To say it was delicious was an under statement. The rice was exceptional and it remains a very nice memory to take back to old blighty (London) of the very best of Japanese cooking.

“Best Kobe Beef”
Here it is, in the heart of Kobe itself, a hidden gem known only to the locals who desire the best. Situated in well positioned Hotel Okura in Kobe, I defy anyone to say that they have tried Kobe Beef better than in this Teppanyaki restaurant. Also renowned for its Abalone, the staff are super-fri...endly too. Get a local to accompany you, but be prepared for a substantial bill. You get what you pay for.
