“Lost in translation”
We were not sure whether this referred to the Toh-Ka-Lin restaurant in the Okura hotel, but going by the reviews it does. We ordered a la carte and much enjoyed the food. The spring rolls and dumplings that we had as starters were truly excellent. Big downside for us is that no one speaks English, ...at all. They nodded as if our orders were understood (we ordered by pointing at the menu), but one course was completely forgotten. When we asked if we could still have it served, that was ok but we had to order dessert before we got it, due to last orders being taken at 21pm. So we were a bit lost in translation here, which is ok but for the (high) price and the fact that it is situated in the Okura, we would expect that they are able to deal with foreigners with no knowledge of Japanese or Chinese languages. On the other side, we were the foreigners here... ;)

“Great Food in the Great Surroundings”
It is still really hot in September these years. Even if you don't support the idea global warming, you might feel like searching for a near-by summer resort. The weather forecast told that Osaka and Kobe would have the same highest temperature, and maybe they did, but it was far better around the ...Kobe Port. We didn't mind walking outside. Besides, Tokarin served great Chinese food.
