“Nice Unagi Meal”
The restaurant is located on the 9th floor of Meitetsu Building along side with 8-10 other restaurants. Waiting time as displayed outside is about 20-30 mins. At about 4+, there is no queue but you need to wait outside for 5-10 mins. Staff are not English speaking as per other reviews but has Englis...h wordings to understand the order. There are basically 2 different sets which is with or without soup for the 3 different ways of eating it. The unagi is nicely grilled and meal is not hard to eat. Nice sauce on rice. Not the best but good enough for first timer to eat unagi meal which is very strategically located next to Nagoya Station. Kids friendly confirmed. Come early to avoid long q thereafter.

Drove by Nagoya and had dinner in this restaurant. Cossy environment. The Unagi meal is absolutely delicious.

“A delightful meal”
We were certainly delighted by the crisp unagi layered on top of perfectly flavored rice with sauce. Pouring soup on the rice at the end of the meal was a pleasant ending to the delightful meal. It is certainly nothing close to the typical unagi that u get at the supermarket. We went to the Meitetsu... outlet and no need to Q at around 5.30pm.

“One of the very best Unagi meal in Japan”
As a regular visitor to Japan, I cannot but highly recommend the unagi meal at this specialist restaurant. There is unagi and there is unagi in Unagi Shirakawa Joshin Honten. We managed to find our way to this quaint and quite suburban feel restaurant with ample car park . Drving there was a cinch w...ith the navigation. The restaurant staff guided us to a convenient car park lot. We came in for dinner without any reservations at about 6-7pm. We were seated in the restaurant just after a 20min wait. The food was simply delicious and unforgettable. A must visit if you are in Nagoya.

“Simply the best!”
This is our first ever Hitsumabushi cuisine in Nagoya. We were introduced the 3 ways to savour the unagi i.e. 1/3 unagi, 1/3 unagi with rice & condiments and 1/3 with the special soup over the unagi & rice. The price is reasonable given the quality of the meal and extremely personable service. Pleas...e put this on your itinerary whenever you are in Nagoya, you will not regret it.
