“Not to be missed!”
This is a small, local, family-owned restaurant. The son can speak some English and they also have an English menu. The service was very good and the sushi was not only great value for money, but also fresh and of the highest quality! If you are in the area, you must stop by. It isn't too far from t...he station, but better to take a taxi on a hot day as our phones directed us in the wrong direction so by the time we found it we were drenched. We went for lunch and got the second most expensive set menu, our bill was under $50 USD for two people. Don't miss it!

“A Real local sushi experience in Japan ”
The restaurant is not a fancy place, but it offers a very fresh sushi using local seasonal fish. Two sushi masters (who appeared to be father and son) prepared sushi in front of us. Complementary miso soup using fresh crab tested amazing. We drove from Ito city but found out that It is located in a ...walking distance from izukogen station.

“Amazing sushi with local fish, staff makes a special experience”
(One of) the best sushi you'll find in Japan, and a great value for money as well when choosing one of their menus. We ordered one menu with local fish from the Izu region and one mixed menu, both were amazingly fresh and prepared right in front of your eyes. This place has been around for 36 years... and is well regarded by the locals. They don't speak too much English, there is an English menu available however. When speaking in Japanese the staff explained us how they try to create a playful food experience for guests to remember. They explained each type of sushi/fish into detail as well as how to eat them exactly according to the locals. They also gave us raw wasabi roots to taste and experience the differences depending on where you cut it. All in all a great experience!
