“Melt in your mouth Hida steak”
This is among the best steak restaurants I've been to on the planet. Hida beef is grass fed beef which goes trough a highly disciplined calf raising process which creates marbled beef that is markedly different from Matsuzaka & Kobe beef. Consistency is maintained as each cow has to meet the except...ional standards of the Hida beef association. Grill Bakuro offers an open kitchen where diners can choose to sit in a elevated deck above the center kitchen, or in cozy alcoves behind a backdrop of a private garden. Two variations of dinner set menus give the dinners a choice to enjoy their exquisite beef with either a simple offering of beef/salad/ rice or bread, or with a more elaborate 5 course appetizer, salad, beef, fish, dessert set. We enjoyed a combination of the fillet and sirloin (ordered "medium rare") , which for me was among the most impeccable beef experiences I have had . The steak was so tender I could cut it with my chopsticks. The chateaubriand is apparently even more fantastic. We were incredibly satisfied. Thank you Grill Bakuro for you fabulous cuisine, and the warm hospitality of restaurant's superb manager, Mr. Yasushi Fujimoto. Their wine list is also well curated to pair with their perfectly executed steaks. We look forward to our next visit!!
