Kitzbuehl

This restaurant is over priced for what we got. Our food all came out at different times and I just about finished my meal when my husbands meal come out and my children’s food came in between. We also had to ask for water and our menus were never taken away I put them on a box near me to clear spac...e on the table. Drinks were way to expensive between 6-700 yen for a soft drink. I don’t think we will be going back there. Also the waiter never replaced the table clothes after each seating he just removed them totally so some tables looked lovely and some like ours was bare it took away from the quality of the restaurant. It was also my sons birthday and they did not do anything special or say anything either.

My husband had the sausage plate which included the SQUARE sausage in the pictures. Best sausage we've ever tasted! The sauerkraut was delicious. My quiche was very dry but the celery-root salad was a charm. Wide selection of German beers. And be sure to buy a 'cup' of mustard' as you pay-great way ...to extend your trip! We arrived about 2:30 weekday and the front seats were open so eating at the store front was really a Karuizawa experience. FYI: they allow dogs in the restaurant....(I am a cat person, but I don't drag my cat to eat with me...)

We got a chefs salad, mushroom plate, goulash soup and steak plate the flavours in all of these were incredible and waiter was helpful with my wheat allergy.

The name of the restaurant is Kitzbühl, and they serve Bitburger beer (and others), and some of the best sausages in this resort town that has many sausage shops and restaurants. For dinner, there are many more choices of German food, and there is a variety of Schnapps and wine. Highly recommended.... Note: I am not from Germany.
