“Authentic eel”
Went to it's branch at ESCA , Tsubaki- cho. We could easily place our order as there is a an English menu. Ordered the hitsumabushi and rice medley set. Really sumptuous flavor of the eel. Must have been grilled to perfection using bincho charcoal.

“Delicious!”
Our taxi driver recommended this Bincho because the lines would not be long and we were going to catch the Shinkansen back to Osaka. The food came very quickly, was very tasty ( I love unagi). My only complaint would be that there was a bit much for me to finish so I ate all the unagi and left ric...e (which I hate to do) My friend got the hot green tea and she said it did not taste good. A Japanese person telling you that your tea is not good should have told the restaurant something but they continued to try to bring her more. That is our only complaint. You can watch them cook from a window outside the restaurant.

“Grilled eel Nagoya style”
The grilled eel is not as sweet as others that I tried. It is served Nagoya style with soup, chopped spring onion and wasabi. You are supposed to mix eel rice with soup and garnishing according to your taste. It's different and nice.

“Great Charcoal Grilled Eel”
Charcoal grilled eel, the result is a firmer texture, crispy skin, and a much truer flavor. A gentle brushing of sweetened soy throughout the grilling, the light smoke enhancing the natural sweetness of the unagi. The meal is eaten in three parts: (1) Eel on rice - showcases the quality and com...plex flavor of the eel (2) Eel on rice with wasabi, scallion, and nori - adding condiments with varying amounts mixing with each bite adds contrast. Wasabi enhances bitterness, the spring onion the sweetness. (3) Eel on rice with condiments and broth - cutting the richness of the eel and preventing palate fatigue while accentuating the natural sweetness of the eel. Highly recommended!!
