“Great dumplings and Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup”
I have been to this place several times. I go for the Taiwan beef noodle soup but the dumplings are also very good. Priced reasonable for Nagoya.

“You shouldn't expect too much”
Din-Tai-Fung is a Taiwan-based restaurant which is chosen as one of the 10 big restaurants of the world. Its specialty is xiaolongbao - dumpling containing meat and soup inside. Because of such a famous restaurant, when I got there many people had waited in front of there. I presumed we would have ...to wait an hour or so, but we were led into the restaurant after waiting less than half an hour. We ordered steamed-meat-bun, xiaolongbao and shrimp-fried-rice. I thought the taste itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't cooked through. Xiaolongbao should have been hotter. Probably the cooks shortened cooking time for fear that they should make us wait for a long time.

“Not worth it, if you have already tried in other countries.”
The food is good -- but not amazing. The service is fast but pretty average in Japan - not great. Waiters did not clear my dishes, perhaps it is their practice in this restaurant. This is a pretty small Din Tai Feng. If you have already tried Din Tai Feng in Taiwan or other region, please give th...is a miss.

“Just ok”
Having tried Ding Tai Feng restaurants at Taiwan and Singapore, I woud say the dishes were just okay. Not sure if the taste was tweaked to cater to the preferences of locals. We were there for dinner on Sunday and there was a long queue. But as the dishes were relatively quick, the wait seemed short...er compared to queue of restaurants nearby.
