“A Symphony ”
We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a place to celebrate. We could not have made a better decision. Every dish was pitch perfect in taste and presentation. A symphony of flavours to please the most discerning of palates put together by maestro and Chef Muroi. Stage side seats are limited so... booking is advised.

“One of the best Japanese steak experiences”
The quality of not only the meat but all the ingredients they present is amazing. You expected superlative wagyu in Japan anyway, and Kisentei doesn't disappoint in that regard (I can recommend the 'roast' (ie, sirloin)). The source of the beef varies by whatever is currently best quality. When w...e went it was from Miyagi prefecture. The menu has 'course' options (ie several courses of various dishes, not only meat) or a lot of different la carte steak options. The meat is available in three grades. We tried all of them - the difference is mainly in the marbling. The accompanying vegetables are also of an incredibly high standard. They source them daily and only buy whatever is the best that day, so you can't order specific vegetables, you just get whatever they have that day. I had the best grilled asparagus ever here - fresh from Hokkaido. It was so good I could have eaten just that, never mind the steak! The wine and sake list is quite comprehensive. Naturally you pay for all this amazingness but in my opinion it is worthwhile. I'd go back. I should also mention that the view over Nagoya through their floor-to-ceiling windows was also very nice. And it breaks the general rule of a restaurant's food quality being inversely proportional to the quality of its view!
