“Lots of Good Stock”
I have been to a number of Soup Stock outlets - it's a chain! - but this last visit was to the one at B1 of Le Chic in Sakae, Nagoya. I went solo for a late lunch on September 28, 2014. The place had a (short) queue - it seems like there often is - but it progresses quickly. You place your order at... the cashier, pay for it, wait a couple of minutes then take a table. Very efficient. Good selection of soups - chunky, creamy, thick - and other light meals. The menu is easy to navigate with English translations that keep you from wondering and holding up the line figuring out what's what. They have sets and combos that also provide good vlaue. The one i visited had a good cafe-like atmosphere to it even if it was in the basement. As with other Japanese restos, they provide a plastic crate for you to keep your bags (and avoid hogging another other wise good seat for someone else to use). Clean, good lighting, some green touches. I love doing "stock checks" at this place. A favorite for quick and tasty meals. Not quite a meal to fill you up but just enough to tide you through to the next one.
