Its hard to find a place open during the daytime and you don't want to have a meal, you just want to have a beer. Well Kirin city is the place for you. Staff are friendly and helpful and the menu can be on the $$$$ side considering portions but its the beer you are there for. They do put a lot of he...ad on the bear so if you don't like that then it comes in handy if you know in Japanese to say that. Great place and have been many times with friends and great atmosphere once the salary men come in. Can be quite busy during evening and lunch but early afternoon the place is yours.

2nd visit as a family of four to Kirin City and just as busy as our previous visit 18 months ago. Menu didn’t appear to have changed at all – but why would it as there is a good selection of food. We ordered a selection of dishes including our favourite dish......sausages! and the usual beers and ...soft drinks. Good service from the waiting staff – friendly and helpful – even got some sort of loyalty or prize card; not that we understood what to do with it. Deja vu or what we were actually seated at the very same table as last time – may be its the foreign tourists table. Worthy of a visit – good combination of food, drink and atmosphere.

Wahoo.............I get to write the first TA review for Kirin City. Visited as a family of four after making a phone reservation (recommended), this restaurant was very busy for most of the evening. We ordered a selection of dishes to share including sausage platter, pizza, beef, sliced potato, sa...lad bowl and numerous others I have forgotten. All washed down with some good Kirin beers. The food we chose was served quickly but in a random order and was enjoyable. Shame they had run out of mussels, lamb and ribs - how can that happen in a large super efficient Japanese city? Come on you can do better I'm sure of that! Cost was very good at less than Y6,000 for four people.
