“The hirekatsu is good!”
I enjoy eating their miso hirekatsu over the usual misokatsu as it feels leaner without the loin. The sauce is tasty and not too salty and they pour out in a good amount. If you have a tight timeline or more than 2 pax dining, mind the queue. The service is not super fast, about 15 minutes.

“No frills miso katsu”
Deep fried pork cutlets with Nagoya's famed miso is what Yabaton is known for. We did not get to try this while in the city, so were mighty pleased to see a Yabaton at the airport and be able to try the specialty dish before leaving Nagoya. Verdict: The miso sauce is nice and goes well with the wel...l-fried pork katsu cutlets. I have to confess however that I prefer the usual tangy Worcestershire-based sauce that pork katsu is typically served with. Overall I rated this Average, although a rating between Average and Very Good would be more accurate. For the record, I'm not huge on deep fried pork to begin with so perhaps wasn't so wowed by this. While the in-town restaurant may be more full-service, the airport outlet is pretty much no frills, I guess so people can grab a quick meal. As an aside, the Nagoya airport has a quite a number of restaurants, so factor in a meal if you have time to spare.

“Good miso katsu”
If u stay near the airport the food court is a very convenient location. Yabaton offers a range of various tonkatsu with several sauces. As it is an airport the atmosphere is not the best. The staff was nice.food was good too. The cabbage had a slight Chlorine taste.

“Just as good as downtown”
The very popular and well-known Yabaton has a branch at the NGO Centrair Airport and is just as delicious as its other branches downtown. Just as their mascot indicates, Yabaton is known for their pork. Hence, the pork tonkatsu with its unique Nagoya-style miso sauce is the signature dish. The po...rk is cooked just tender and with a light coating. The miso sauce is very earthy and is a nice comfortable palate bath that does not have a biting tang that hits the front part of the tongue. Very hearty meal that will sustain one for the duration of a flight. Best part? In and out in less than 30 minutes, great for walking and exploring the Centrair Airport to walk off a meal and relax before a flight.

“Delicious”
I wanted to try the famous miso katsu from a place famous for it. It was very good. I recommend the teppan tonkatsu.
