“Authentic, Affordable”
We shared a family meal at this establishment twice in one day, by circumstance. The food is authentic and flavorful. There are several options in the menu that suits all preferences. The restaurant itself is very spacious, and can cater to large gatherings. All 16 of us were comfortably seated next... to each other in Japanese floor seats. Food was served very quickly, and prices are fair. However, waiter outside gave off I’m sick of this job vibes, but the other servers were ok.

“Best tonkatsu (pork cutlet) we've had; and we've had plenty!”
Our group of 8 went to this outlet in March 2024. This restaurant operated marvellously efficiently, and so even though there were more than 15 people ahead of us in the queue, we were seated within about 20 minutes. There were many different cuts of pork cutlet available in the menu and we ordered ...several different varieties. We enjoyed the prime rib and fillet cuts the best. The loin, while decent, was less remarkable compared to the former 2 cuts. For some cuts, there’s also the option of topping up for cheese sauce. Feel free to give this a miss as the pork cutlets are already amazing with the default misokatsu sauce and mustard (packets of which are freely available at each table). We simply loved dining here and wouldn’t hesitate to return if given the opportunity.

“Good one”
Be there for dinner with family during Nagoya trip. Recommended dishs are good but outside of those, they are so-so. English menu is available. Queue is a bit long but i decide to take counter, it is not a long wait. Recommended.

“Delicious”
This was my second attempt trying out tonkatsu. Did not like it the first time because the pork was so dry. I saw very good reviews about this place so I thought I would give it another try. So glad I did, very delicious pork, tender and juicy. Miso sauce was poured on top of the pork, I asked f...or only half portion of the sauce as I did not want the pork to be too salty. Do not miss it if you visit Nagoya. I went to this shop for an early dinner and was so lucky that I did not need to queue up, but just a day before I saw a very very long queue at the shop in Esta during lunch hour.

“Tender juice miso-katsu specialists”
Been coming to yabaton every time I visit Nagoya. Good stuff. If you're not comfortable ordering in Japanese, ask for the English menu and they are happy to oblige.
