“Nice atmosphere with very simply, somewhat disappointing food.”
Nice atmosphere in an old building. Quite thick kitchen smoke from the barbecue though, you will need to wash all your clothes afterwards. Nice free appetizer and good selection of drinks. The food however disappointed, mainly due to the quality of the meat (chicken sinewy, pork very greasy, fish wa...s OK). Food was plentiful so you will not leave hungry, and priced OK.

“It’s all on the surface,- nothing else !”
Nice and cozy designed restaurant with a wide choice of Japanese cuisine. This might lead to expect culinary highlights, unfortunately the taste doesn’t meet this expectations. It’s only average and the unpolite service ( discovered the first time in Japan) does the rest …so no great experience at ...all !!! The waitresses are not well trained ,- are giggling if the guest are not able to use the provided Menu on the I pad . The cook scratches in his hair while he’s cooking in front of me,- and other staff members eat and drink in front of me directly from the grill … Toilets have been the dirtiest I have seen so far . Absolutely not woth to spend time and money here .

“Special location, good food with relaxed atmosphere”
I was a bit unsure after some other reviews but it turned out very good. Friday night and the place was 75pct full, relaxed setting with all Japanese guests. We felt welcome and the service was nice and good. Food was a sharing type we liked a lot, many choices and everyone enjoyed it. Tried some ne...w dishes after 2 weeks in japan - so yes i recommend it

“Beautiful and gourmet Izakaya near Mt Fuji”
I’m making an account just to review this place - it was absolutely incredible - totally fine dining spec! Small and cozy but absolutely gorgeou; great atmosphere, great drinks, great food, great staff. Honestly, I cannot fault them on anything at all. We would have paid double for the food we got -... it was insanely affordable! I rarely write reviews but this place deserves it, big time. Even the music was perfect, I Shazammed a few songs while we were there! Thed downstairs bar is lined with Danish style chairs and the left side is fitted with traditional raised flooring and tables. Upstairs looked beautiful too! Perfect for people who know and love gourmet food and beautiful architecture/design, but also don’t love somewhere with a stitched-up vibe, though I think even the bourgeoisie would appreciate this spot.

“Original service”
We had diner at this restaurant on April 7. The entrance can be a little confusing. Do not take the biggest and tallest door, this is the kitchen entrance. Take the little door with the pieces of fabric above it. You will have to take off your shoes. Once in the restaurant, you get the choice of si...tting on chairs at the bar or at low tables on the floor. It is a classic Izakaya restaurant. Before ordering you will get a oshibori (wet towel) to clean your hands and a tsukidashi, a little appetizer. Be aware: even if you decline the appetizer you still pay for it. It is included in the covered fee (300 yen a person). The best way to enjoy an Izakaya is to order different items and share them with your company. As you would do in Spain when you eat tapas. The place looks original, the food is good but take your time. It will not be cheap though.
