“Nice pick!”
Great place and great food, although hardly any of the waiters spoke a single word of English. Affordable and cosy.

“Not that oily izakaya food, not that drifting cigarette smoke”
We celebrated the New Year with friends, and had a very tasty meal, comprising sashimi, barbecued meats (you BBQ them yourself), soup, burdock crisps (delicious fast fried slices of burdock) and trimmings. All this for only about 5000yen. There are extractor hoods over evry table, so the BBQ smell ...and the stink of tbacco are drawn up into the heavens. This is SPECIAL. I hate trying to enjoy good food with smokers lighting up and puffing their stench around! It's technically an izakaya, but oh so different!! Very good service, wonderful flavours. A weensy bit noisy (it was full). Seating about 35 people. Get ready to sit on your legs, or cross-legged.
