“Good food, lousy service with rude staff”
Good unagi but lousy staff. Staff serving upstairs was rude and clearly did not like serving foreigners. The moment we entered she started shouting “here please” and took no effort to explain anything. All she said was “English menu, order tablet” and left. She even served tea from across the table,... sorely lacking in basic Japanese table manners. Never seen such rude Japanese before. First and last time here. Do not recommend to go if you are a foreigner. They clearly treat Japanese with more care and respect in this restaurant.

“For true lovers of Unagi”
We liked this restaurant a great deal. We are fans of Unagi (freshwater eel, usually grilled) and here is the epicentre of this wonderful delight. It is down a dark street off the beaten path and that makes its charm even better. The people are really nice and are glad that you’re there. We had two ...kinds of Unagi, one more conventional, and the other the local favorite, a chopped up kind served with rice and various condiments. That was really interesting. All that and some sake and beer and we had a really great meal. I strongly recommend giving this one a try if Unagi is something you appreciate.
