“"Fantasia lunch" with panoramic view of Nagoya”

Service, ambience, food presentation & quality are top class as expected from a fine dining restaurant. The staff made us feel very welcomed from the time of first stepping into the restaurant to the time when they said thank you and good-bye. Wait staff were very attentive to our needs, informed us... of the ingredients of every dish they served. They even offered to take photos for us without us asking them :) The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. We went there for lunch, it must be very romantic at night! Love the "window table" they gave us as it offers panoramic view of Nagoya. The food was delicious. Chef made use of both the fresh local produce plus the imported ones from Italy. Like the way the chef combined all these flavours. Truly "fantasia"! Definitely will dine here again, if we are in Nagoya again....this is our 2nd trip to Nagoya :)

“Expensive but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!”

This was my third experience with Enoteca Pinchiorri, the first time in Firenze, the second and third time in Nagoya, Japan. And I have to state that, happily, the quality and excellence of their food has not diminished in the slightest. If anything, it has gotten even better. I started with a lo...vely shrimp dish with a subtle and tasteful sauce, then graduated up to a risotto with some kind of flower (wish I could remember what it was) deep fried, with bleu cheese and a superb sauce. I just kept moaning and groaning with pleasure as I took each bite. Then a lovely lamb dish, and I'm pretty sure I had another wonderful dessert, but to be absolutely truthful I had had so much of the truly exquisite wine, I'm afraid I don't remember. All I can say is, every time I go to either Firenze or Nagoya I will definitely dine here! To add just a little gilt to the lily, I will also say that the service was just the very essence of fantastic! I can't wait to go there again! If my wallet can take it, that is. It's not cheap, but WHO CARES when the food is as exquisite as this!

“Dinner designed by a 3 Michelin star female chef”

The Enoteca Princhiorri is a 3 Michelin star restaurant in lovely Florence, Italy, and the owner's wife Annie Feolde, the head chef, was in fact the first woman outside of France to be awarded 3 Michelin stars. Chef Annie acts as a consultant to the owners of the Enoteca Pinchiorri in Nagoya, which ...was set up in 2008, taking over from the first branch set up in Tokyo. As fans of both Italian and Japanese cuisines we were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this top-notch restaurant in of all places Nagoya, and to discover Chef Annie's wonderful marrying of flavours and ingredients from both cuisines. The food and experience were nothing short of spectacular. Located in the Mei-eki district on the 42 floor of Midland Square, the tallest building in Nagoya located just opposite central Nagoya station (and the 2nd tallest building, the Marriott), the restaurant for starters affords breath-taking views of the city. Service was impeccable, and while we were likely the only foreigners/tourists there (evidenced by our casual attire), the restaurant staff still treated us like royalty, and in fact thanked us for visiting Nagoya even. In their limited English, they put in their best effort to chat with us and introduced each dish to us. Much appreciated. There were quite a few tables celebrating birthdays and special occasions. The restaurant was full on a weekday night, and in fact, I had tried without success to make a reservation on the restaurant website's online system a week earlier, however thanks to our hotel concierge we managed to secure a table.
