“Regular Visitor”

“Very popular at lunchtime.”
If going for lunch make sure you arrive before midday or you'll be queuing on the street to get in! They do a set lunch starting at 800 yen, so explains why so popular with office workers. Efficient, polite service and food adequate in circumstances.

“Very Good & Reasonably Priced”
I travel to Nagoya frequently and for years I had Indian food at least one night a week at the same restaurant. Unfortunately, they closed due to the building they were in being remodeled. That sent me off in search of my new go-to Indian food source. Based on recommendations from several people, I ...tried Mugal Palace. The food and service are very good, and the prices are quite reasonable. Add to that the fact that it’s an easy walk from the JR Tower where I stay and it’s become my go-to place.

“Been many timea”
And I keep going more. This Indian restaurant is not only delicious, it has a lot of space (considering it's in Japan), a smoking and non-smoking division, quite a few options on the menu and was even approved by both of my Indian friends. The staff is friendly, which further encourages me to sched...ule dinners there over and over. They are also open until 3pm, for lunch, and until 11pm for dinner, which is another rarity in Nagoya. The prices are not expensive (about ¥800 for curry, although this varies depending on which of their delicious options the customer Is having). The portions are well served. Set menus, however, are on a (larger) size of their own. The cheese nan, a Japanese invention on Indian food, is amazing with almost any curry, and they also serve it with chocolate in this store (only place I've seen that so far). Set menus include lassi as an option of a drink. Credit cards are accepted. The store is located in tsurumai which is a 20-40min walk from Sakae (depending where your starting point is and which path you take). This makes it excellent for exercising the calories off! Love the place. Will go again and again!

“Excellent Indian Nagoya”
This was the best Indian meal I had in Nagoya so far, and one of the best in Japan. And I have eaten at several over last few years of visiting. Great service, tasty food, big portions. The food is rich in traditional Mughal style. Very good vegetarian options and they adapted to my requirements. Fi...nished with excellent masala chai. The complimentary mango dessert was not to my taste though nice as a gesture and my colleagues loved it.
