“Amazing”
One of the best dishes i ate in Japan. Bowl of rice with beef and beer can make wonders! Beware of queues in lunch hours and evening!

“Awesome and easy”
Super easy to order here as menu is in several languages. I recommend the roast beef bowl with a side horseradish

“Great food! Tender and delicious, for a decent price.”
We heard about Red Rock on a Japanese travel show. There are locations in Kobe, Japan (famouus for Kobe beef) but when we saw there was a location in Nagoya, we had to try it. We were not disappointed! Upon arriving, you can select (as with many Japanese restaurants) your dishes at a vending machine... at the restaurant entrance. We chose the large size of the Kobe Beef bowl (1900 yen), and ordered sides of horseradish (50 yen). The seating is in a nice atmosphere and the location is good for couples as well as larger parties. The food arrived quickly and the service was friendly. The kobe beef bowl consists essentially of a mound of rice, covered with many tender layers of kobe beef, thinly sliced to where they will practically melt in your mouth when you start chewing. A raw egg tops the mound of beef, with creme fraiche and some garnish. I recommend the horseradish to pair with the creme fraiche, but of course this was to suit my taste. I can't say how much larger the large portion size is compared to the regular, but I did not feel the large was too big to finish. The price of 1900 yen seemed reasonable for the quality of beef and portion size, and you can always order the smaller portion which is less expensive. We both enjoyed the large portion size and the flavor of this delicious meal, and we vowed to visit another location when we have the chance!
