Brasserie St. Bernarous

I came here with my friends for a rather business-related discussion. The restaurant doesn’t offer any wifi services, possibly because they want more customers to come and go. Nonetheless, the food was great and priced reasonably.

Most unfriendly bar in Tokyo! Extremely rude barman, walked around the bar asking the locals what they would like to drink but refused serve us saying we were only ‘allowed’ 1 drink. Very bizarre, I’d give it a miss.

passed this bar On the way from the station to our hotel. only place open on a Sunday night but what a treat,Moules Frites just like in Belgium and the best selection of Belgian beer I have seen outside of Bruges. At least 17 fonts and innumerable bottles as well. very friendly and English spoken.

I had 4 hours to kill in Tokyo from Tokyo Station and visited this pub on a recommendation from a friend. Real easy to get to from Kanda Station, I stopped by to get a couple of drinks. My main goal here was to have their Abt 12 on tap, but they ran out, so I had their Bernardus Wit and Abt 12 in a ...bottle. Abt 12 has got to be one of, if not the most, best tasting beer I have ever had. The server was friendly and asked where I was from, and told me after I ordered Abt 12, "Cheers, this beer is freaking awesome". I agree. Awesome service. The pub is also a full Belgian restaurant with lunch specials being served when I was there. I had only come for the beer though but it definitely looked and smelled awesome. If you are ever in the area or just passing through Tokyo Station, you must take a short JR train trip (like 20 seconds) to Kanda and stop by. The beer here is to die for.
