“Perfect Bistro”
This little bistro is excellent, for the food, service and price. We have been here many times, as it’s in our neighborhood and it has ALWAYS provided the same attention to detail. The food is great and the owner is very personable . He spent many years in France , speaks that language beautifully a...nd his English is also perfect . This is a hidden gem ! Carolyn

“Delicious dinner! Worth a visit! ”
Lovely local restaurant - delicious food and very friendly and efficient service. Could not fault it and absolutely worth visiting. A very comprehensive wine list as well as a varied menu but definitely leave room for desert. 10/10 - top choice in Tokyo

“Excellent French restaurant with a bargain lunch offer”
The restaurant is situated opposite the ANA Intercontinental Hotel, 100 meters after a sports shop selling golf equipment. The place is small and it goes unnoticed. The interior is pleasant, having some French charm. There is an attractive lunch offer which includes a starter, entrée, sweets and co...ffee for Y 1290.-, with an option to have beef for an extra Y 300.-. The food is genuinely French. The portions are generous as they should be for a traditional food. The dessert "crème brulée" was top as well. The prices for dinner are more expensive but still modest for Tokyo standards.

“Our Favorite Dinner Restaurant Anywhere!”
We've lived in Tokyo for three years and spent most Saturday nights eating here with our family. It's our favorite restaurant anywhere! We're posted to Tokyo with the U.S. embassy and haven't found a better French restaurant! The charming owner/waiter, Takumi-san, speaks fluent English and Fren...ch from his decade in Canada and France, respectively. At under 4000 yen (about US$35) for the four-course dinner (two appetizer courses, an entree, and dessert), it's a steal for dinner. (Lunch is very good too and more casual and a fraction of the cost, but try it once for dinner if you've enjoyed lunch here before. You won't regret it.) My wife's favorite is the duck with wine sauce, and I really enjoy the lamb, but you can't miss. Takumi stocks a few wines, wine-based cocktails, and after dinner drinks, all of which are very nice and affordable. He was a sommelier in France and really knows his wine but isn't at all pretentious. We've routinely visited with our three to six year old son, and they have always treated him like a king. The restaurant has a great neighborhood vibe, and we've met a lot of our neighbors thanks to Takumi. His restaurant has been featured in a number of magazines and is a personal favorite of several "foodie" politicians, but it is just great food, drink, and atmosphere. We'll miss Ali-Bab as we depart Tokyo but hope others will find it and enjoy it as we have. If you're traveling, Ali-Bab is directly across the street from the ANA Intercontinental Hotel and about 20 yards from a golf store with a large yellow "Golf" sign on the corner.
