It was great food, the staff was very kind to us, we just discovered traditional japanese food with a hint of chic and modernity aswell! We felt really well hosted!

We got to our hotel and after dropping our luggage, we didn't have to walk far. This place is nested between mixer buildings as remains of an old house. The setting is very traditional: dark woods and simple comfortable seating presented in private dinning tables. The service was quick and the wai...ter offered us the English menu. Don't worry, the menus offer exactly the same items, no westernized items ☺️ We got a nice crunchy cabbage salad as appetizer (it is included in the service, as well as the miso soup at the end) We ordered some yakitori, sashimi and katsu. Everything was fresh and delicious. The menu offers many other choices but we wanted to keep our meal light. One thing, people smoke in there. We got there around 8:00 pm and after 9:00pm, we notice cigarette smoke.

This is a Japanese style pub with separate rooms for each group. They didn't seem to be expecting a foreigner travelling alone, but they did their best to accommodate me, and one waiter had really good English. The food was really good, and if you order the "burned mackerel" they bring a gas torch ...and sear it in front of you. They also had a nice range of drinks. The entrance is located at the back of the ground floor of the Sotetsu Fresa Inn. There are no signs outside in English, so look for the big stylised わん (wan).
