“Of the best collections of whiskey in Japan.”
Excellent whiskey bar, second to none I’ve ever been to. Immense selection in a highly atmospheric place. A must visit when in Kanazawa.

“Seriously the best whisky bar in Kanazawa”
The Owner has literally written the book on whisky and his experiences of running this absolute gem since 1969. His whole family runs the place, and the selection of whisky is amongst the best in the world I've seen so far. Our Japanese was awful, and their English was slightly better, but what a ...great night. Just a very memorable night with an extremely knowledgeable guy running a fantastic bar.

“Most enjoyable...and surprising”
We stumbled across London-Ya in the rain while exploring near our hotel (Kaname Inn) and having already tried a few local craft beer bars. Inside we found the most incredible, cosy, elaborate Victorian-style pub - amazing decor! - and we received a very warm welcome from the owners/staff. We had... some nice Kilkenny and later some excellent food....spaghetti puttanesca. It was so good we went back the next night, for more beer and this time equally excellent pizza. Recommended!

“A hidden gem”
This place has no presence on the Internet and is hidden in a rather small alley off the main street, but it is a very unique and special place. We stumbled on it after eating lunch at a nearby Ramen spot and made note of it for a drink later that evening. The ambience inside is really remarkable, w...ith lots of wood and tons of little scotch whiskey and other liquor bottles displayed around a very unique setting. The proprietors are extremely kind and outgoing and they even helped with our assistance in finding a local spot to purchase a bottle of Japanese whiskey before our trip home. We had a wonderful evening there. The pasta and roasted chicken dinners were excellent and we had a glorious time there. It is a very unique experience in every way and we highly recommend it.

“True to Theme. This is a London Bar”
Visited with some colleagues after work - and got stuck into a few frothy Guinnesses. The point worth mentioning here is the interior. You are definitely transported from rural Japan to a low ceiling-ed London local. Deceptively big on the inside - I was immediately impressed with the decor and ...atmosphere - the attention to detail here is superb. The food & drink menus is on the expensive side without being ridiculous - we didn't get food ourselves but the couple next to us did and we definitely had food envy. Perfect for a small group to share a few drinks with many private booth-style tables available, or just sit at the expansive bar and shoot the breeze!
