Shigeno

3 families traveling together from US… so 12 of us and often hard to eat altogether. Our ryokan recommended this and we did 7000 yen prix fix. It was amazing a seared cod course was delicious. And the sushi was a great variety. The master sushi maker came out and checked on us and the service was ...lovely!!!!

We happened by and it was exactly what we were looking for. Sit in front of a chef and watch as they prepare the sushi. That’s what we were looking for, what we got was WAY better. I wish I could leave a higher review, the master sushi chef had about 50 years experience and his son about 30 years, t...hey both spoke enough English to really make my friend and I feel comfortable. And the sushi, I can’t tell you how fresh and masterfully prepared it was. I embarrassed myself trying to eat the naguri with chopsticks and chef was like use your hands. It’s ok. I again can not leave a high enough review.

Eat sushi from the master chef at Shigeno! We had chefs’s choice sushi - local delicacies, including black throat fish - from the hands of the chef and owner of Shigeno. It was exceptional - the best sushi we have ever had. They will also make a selection of local dishes such as jigeno, worth a trip....
