“TAAAASTY”
On of the most tasty food we had in Japan. Veggi and meat, no problem. Cosy seating, super friendly personnel. Recommended.

“A hidden gem in Kanazawa.”
Wonderfully creative delicious food. Small plates all delicious. Vegetable forward but wonderful meat and fish dishes as well. Very reasonably priced. Very small Dining area. Our table for three blocked half of the entry door. If you can get a reservation go, by all means.

“Amazing restaurant! Fantastic flavours and textures, small plates ideal for sharing”
We happened to walk past Slow Luck on our first afternoon in Kanazawa, and decided to return there for an evening meal. To say we were pleased with our choice of restaurant would be an understatement. It was the best meal of our three-week holiday in Japan. We started off by ordering a few dishes to... share, and they were do delicious we couldn't resist ordering three more from the menu. Special mention to a wonderfully crisp and flavoursome fried barracuda with rice crackers and peanuts. Plenty of vegetarian choices. All dishes were perfectly cooked in a tiny kitchen using high quality ingredients, well balanced seasoning and super presentation. The chef and manager were very friendly, as were some other diners who gave us recommendations for our stay in Kanazawa. If we ever go back to Kanazawa, Slow Luck will be at the top of our list!

“Great little place”
Tucked away in a side street next to the Oyama Jinja Shrine is this little gem. I just turned up and although it's small they welcomed me in. On my own? No problem. Vegetarian? No problem. I had a first class veggie pizza which was delicious. In fact I went back the following evening and had vegeta...ble tempura - shiitake mushrooms, turnip and lotus root. Finished with the pear ice cream. Divine. I visited during the coronavirus so it may be that it would normally not be so easy to get a table. But they couldn't have been more welcoming and the service was brilliant. Do visit this lovely couple and their restaurant.

“Just simply top-end cuisine. First class. ”
We rocked up unannounced on a Wednesday night (with our two young kids) when many other local restaurants were either closed or fully booked. We were warmly greeted by the hostess & chef. The place is very small, but the standard of the food blew us away. The duck in particular was outstanding (poss...ibly the best duck I’ve ever eaten), though the vegetables in anchovy cream were also a highlight. The kids ate everything put in front of them & after 4 beers & 6/7 (outstanding) dishes the bill was around 8000Y. This place is a little gem. Highly recommended +++.
