“Well worth it- so delicious”
We were blown away! Sashimi that melted in my mouth. Slices of grilled beef so tender and full of flavor. Grilled eel with crispy skin. Pickled and lightly steamed vegetables. Perfectly cooked short grain rice. A refreshing cold sake, and a lovely lemon sour. So good and very fun. The restaurant sta...ff was kind and helpful. I recommend highly.

“Delicious appetizers”
The appetizers were delightful. The fish sushi was tasty. The prices are affordable compared to other restaurants in the city. Excellent service.

“Disappointed”
Did not live up to the ratings hype. Had to agree to a 5pm or 8pm sitting. Neither suited but went for 5pm. Service rushed us and we felt we had to hurry. Food was ok but variable for our taste. We shared the 40,000 yen “special” fish which was so small the three of us got one mouthful each. Pear so...rbet was two blocks of frozen ice. Very disappointing.

“Fine but forgettable”
After reading reviews online, I was excited to get a last minute reservation here in late October. However… I’d say it’s really not worth it. The food was good, but for the price you pay, you’d expect great. No dish has stood out in our minds. It’s generally a bit of an odd vibe there - you get th...e feeling they’re keen for you to leave (unlike other izakayas, where food comes quickly but you feel like you can stay for ages and keep ordering more). We left within an hour. It might be that it’s because it’s slightly in between izakaya and trying to be fine dining and just hasn’t quite found its place yet. Generally the place seems to be trying to cater to a Western audience, but doesn’t quite hit the mark (for example, they didn’t explain the dipping noodles to us) Overall ok, but nothing to write home about.

“Delicisous food and great value”
Fabulous food, probably the best we had in two weeks in Japan. You sit facing the chefs, good fun, and out comes the food. Big menu of Japanese specialties, we kept ordering the small plates until we were stuffed. Very delicious and reasonable. Would go back in a minute. Very popular, must make a re...servation!
