Tamazushi Sohonten

One of the best suhis in my life. Without doubt, try to be in the countet. You can see how they do this amazing sushi,the freshest fish with an excelleny treatment for all the staff. They even create personalized items for you. An incredi le experience and hope it does not get too turisty, since onl...y locald where there. (And yes, everything for les than 30€ per person, which is really cheap!)

Had a excellent dinner. A must place to go for dinner in Kanazawa. Superb Sake and heavenly food. Started with a beautiful Sardines Starter. Next was the local sardines and fresh local fish shasimi. Followed by locally created fresh Sardine dishes finish up with Sardines and local fresh fish sush...i. Throw in great sake and Japanese Beers. Walla a great dinner night out.

I can't say enough about Tamazushi. From the decor to the owner and sushi master to the food, everything is exceptional. Tamazushi may not be ranked as one of Kanazawa's top 5 uber-sushi experiences, but having eaten at most of those places, I can only assume the ranking is at least partly arbitrary.... We sat at the counter and ordered omakase (leave it to the chef), and for the next 2.5 hours, received an steady flow of exquisitely prepared, absolutely delicious dishes, ranging from sashimi to steamed fish, grilled fish, sushi, soup, and even dessert. Throughout it all, Teranishi-sensei, the master, chatted and explained each course, often with his assistant on an iphone looking for translations. The reproduction of the Noh theater set creates an inviting atmosphere, and the local sake perfectly complimented the meal. best of all, if you're looking for nightlife after your meal, it's located right in the heart of Katamachi, Kanazawa's entertainment district.
