Visited the restaurant on route to our ryokan at 99 bends. It was an absolutely wonderful meal, leaving lasting memories even 2 weeks after our trip. We ordered the omakase set of 10 pcs of sushi at Y3000 wo tax. Miso soup was included as 1 pc. There was no soy sauce needed as each piece was laced... with some special seasoning of some sort and the flavours complemented each other perfectly. Every piece was an absolute delight to savor. The last 2 pieces were crab and abalone. All five of us regretted not ordering the 12 pc set immediately at the end of our meal. We only had soy sauce for 1 pc of the fish. Would recommend anyone visiting this town.

I have been to this sushi place because of the local reputation as being one of the best sushi restaurant of Nanao! Yes, these 2 sushi chef brothers behind the counter provide a very refined-1/2-size-nigiri of the freshest fish of the day. Basically you have 2 choices of omakase menu: 2500 or 3000y...en and you could still add any extra dish from your request. (I requested Sazae- turban shell). 90% of nigiri are already salted so needless to add soy sauce, just bring straight to your mouth and enjoy this adventurous taste of each creative pieces. Very advisable to book in advance particularly for those who want to have a seat between 12-1pm or 6-7pm. Please note no one speaks English, so better to go with a local person that you know for any communication!
