“Perfect meal on our only night in Sado!”

My wife wanted to eat yakitori so we found it in a local Sado Island tourist brochure. It was easy to find and turned out to be awesome! Taku was the main man there on the grill and was super friendly. His grasp of English was really comforting and made us want to come back to visit from Hawaii some...time soon! Mahalo Taku!

“Great Evening at Yakitori Yaijima”

This has to be one of the best Yakitori bars in Sado. The food was great and the atmosphere created by Taku Yajima makes it the kind of yakitori bar we are always looking for but very hard to find these days. It's old style and smokey but the food is carefully selected and high quality. Taku has a...lso introduced Sado grown beef "yakitori". You'll love it! Its a bargain and a totally friendly neighborhood place. My wife and I loved it.

“Awesome local experience for foreigners”

This is a tiny eatery with a very traditional "hole in the wall" ambience. Owner, Taku, mans the charcoal grill with one assistant, doling out delicious small plates of yakitori-style foods, and pouring generous drinks from the simple selection of beer, chu-hi, sake and shochu. Limited seating inclu...des 6 chairs at a counter and a minute table with benches for up to 4 in the front, with a couple of additional tables in the back area. Frequented exclusively by locals, aside from a few out-of-towners referred by a nearby guesthouse. Taku speaks fantastic English as a result of having spent 3 years studying in the US; he's a warm and congenial host who clearly enjoys feeding people great food.
