We were not looking for an expensive meal. We didn't really associate Matsuyama with eating crab. But when we saw the big mechanical crab over the doorway, we immediately felt drawn inside. We lingered over the plastic models in the window, choosing carefully what we wanted to eat. Went inside and ...were ushered to a spacious private dining room and left alone with menus. The meals we had chosen were only available at lunch time - no wonder they looked like good value. No problem, we were committed to crab now. Increase the budget and choose again. Impeccable service, discreet but supportive. Wonderfully delicious crab. A little messy to get out of its shell, as usual, but so worth it. Expensive, but the more you paid, the more crab you got, so who cared? Unhurried atmosphere. What a lovely experience.
