“Typical Japanese Fast Food”
Like others in the Yoshinoya chain, you can choose from various bowls of rice with meat on top; chipped beef is the classic, but there are many seasonal offerings as well. The food is healthier and fresher than many fast food options, as is the dining experience, since food is brought to the table i...n reusable bowls rather than throw-away plastic. Consider the full meal with salad and soup. Breakfast is Japanese-style, with fish and miso soup, so doesn't fit a lot of Western palettes. If you are a hearty eater, the serving might be on the small side. I don't eat huge amounts of rice with each meal so the "small portions" are perfect for me, but "large" does not fill my hungry husband.
