UMIOYAJI

Umm Oyaji is right across the street from the train station, not the first place you’d look for top notch food and great service. But it’s terrific. The food isn’t trying to be cutting edge , just a wide range of familiar dishes done exceptionally well. Vegetable tempura, for instance, was wonder...fully fresh and light, with red pepper, shiso leaf, shisito pepper, and broccolini. Vibe was friendly and laid back, if you sit at the counter you can watch the chefs work. A great neighborhood type place in a place without a neighborhood. Definitely worth seeking out!
