“There are enough great places to eat in Shinjuku. No reason to eat here.”
We walked into this nice little eatery expecting to enjoy a few Yakitori and drink some Sake. Ordered a salad, the special chicken meatball skewer, the bacon wrapped rice cake skewer and the Kobe beef flank. The food was decent. The chicken skewer was a bit under-cooked. The service, however, was hu...miliating. After waiting too long for our food we thought that maybe our order had been forgotten, and because it seemed that trying to get a server's attention was impossible, I eventually went to look for somebody to try to get an idea of what to expect with regard to the arrival of our order. The server responded rudely and the food was put on our table immediately after that. Nobody seemed interested if the food was to our liking, and we didn't see a server for the entire meal. We eventually escorted ourselves to door to settle the bill, where we were met with a seriously unfriendly attitude, and left not having understood what we had done wrong to be treated so poorly. With so many great choices and so many really friendly people in the area, I would recommend going elsewhere.

“Ripped off, terrible food, bad service”
We had the meat skewers and Thai curry. Food was brought out at different times. Meat was terrible. Bill was increased by 25% (I did not catch it). Dingy basement

“In a word- awful”
I ordered the Kobe beef skewers, pork belly skewers and fries, plus a lemon sour. My first two dishes came out at different times, the fries never arrived at all. The food I did get was disgusting, tough and fatty, I left half of it. I ordered a second drink which also never turned up. The waitress ...never checked in to see if everything was ok. Eventually I got sick of waiting and totted up how much I owed myself and left the money on the table. THEN of course the waitress noticed me and came running over to make sure I’d paid enough; first time she’d paid attention to me all night. I then found out I had to pay a service charge, despite having had no service! No exaggeration worst meal/experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had- do NOT go here.

“Worst service ever and I didn’t even EAT”
I have never been flatly ignored: I hardly ever review restaurants and I’ve been here twice before over the last year. I went to this place because I was starving and the food is consistent. I walked in and I was ignored. The seater looked ilme in my eyes and walked around me. So I sat myself. Right... behind me were two Japanese Girls. He sat them immediately and took their drink order. I just waited and waited. I am made to feel less than in my own country because of color of my skin. In Europe they treat me kindly and see only American not black. This server didn’t even see me as he acted as if I did not even exist. I stayed s d waited to speak to manager. And I know nothing will happen and they don’t care as I’m just a tourist/foreign but I ask if anyone reading this (especially if you are black And/or American) go ANYWHERE else. Go where you are seen. Go where the staff treats you like a person or at least a dog, because I was treated as if I wasn’t even a living breathing thing. I hope no one ever makes any of those employees feel like they made me feel, because no one deserves such treatment.

“Wow...this could be our worst meal ever”
We should have known better when they had an employee standing on the street trying to lure people in. But, jet-lag and hunger got the better of is and we went in. We left 80% of our food uneaten, which I have almost never done. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The "Kobe" skewer was... as tough as shoe leather, the chicken skewer was raw in the middle, the chicken meatball skewers were inedible. The only thing we could stomach were the fries.
